Have no fear; God is forever here. His “well” never runs dry. Our Lord always has timely plans and solutions. We read in 1 Kings 17:7 – KJV that the brook dried up. Yep, it sure did. But God didn’t dry up. He gave Elijah another means of sustenance. God always has means to supply. Rest assured that the answers are in God . . . . I Kings 17:7 – KJV And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, Philippians 4:11 – KJV Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

Veteran’s Day will soon be upon us. There aren’t enough ways to thank the many men and women who’ve sacrificed for the common good of nations. Soldiers have trained, planned and entered battlefields to defend and protect causes of countries. Families, in certain aspects, “enlist” with their military loved ones. Yes, family members sure do their share of training, planning and sacrificing, too. Often, they’re uprooted and moved to foreign places. Pros and cons are associated with geographic and cultural changes. Transitional processes do help to mold attitudes and sensitivities, which can aid in developmental strengths within spirits, hearts, and minds. I love watching those videos that show soldiers who return home to surprise their loved ones. The love that flows among them is such a joy to observe. It’s a visual treat to see the various creative ways that are used to pull off the delightfully loving surprises. Gratitude extends to veterans, and to the active military personnel. What they give is immeasurable. From the privates to the generals,Continue reading »

Moments of awe occur when we receive comfort from our Lord. There is no signature style that’s comparable to how God renders comfort. We can visualize lying our heads on the shoulder of the Most High, and unloading our burdens with no misgivings about unreasonable judgments relative to our conditions. We can rest in the care of our Lord — confident that we’ll get the aid that satisfies our needs. Nothing is too hard for God, and that knowledge is among many comforts that provide solace from the Almighty. Psalm 71:21 – KJV Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side. Jeremiah 31:13 – KJV . . . for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

We walk in the “garden” of wonders filled with the loveliness of our “views” of love, joy, peace, contentment and freedom. We “inhale” God’s promises with multiplied glee. This garden is replete with the enjoyment of righteous bliss. We linger as we inhale/exhale the countless beauties contained in this garden of variety. Weeds are observed. Wisely, we understand that they too have purposes. Nope, we don’t disdain them because our Master placed weeds here as contributors to our seeds and limbs of growth. The splendor far outweighs what the weeds accomplish. Yes, the richness contained in this place of precious wonder is filled with magnificence. Time spent in God’s garden is well worth it — indeed! Psalm 1:3 – KJV And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

How delightful that we can rest in the surety that God is love and incomparable in Most High status. How wonderful that the Father gave us Christ, the Word who was made flesh. Yes, how grateful we are that Christ is the mediator of a better covenant. Hebrews 8:6 – KJV But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

We enter a resource of plentiful truths. Inside are brilliant treasures. Splendid views are arranged in precious order. Lessons are stacked in rhythm with the past, present and future. We’re enveloped in love, encouragement, inspiration, hope, justice and plenty more to aid in our challenging journeys. Water is here. Trees, plants and mountains are here. Animals, homes, jewels, fruits and bread are here — oh my! The spread of delights enrich us immensely. Where have we entered? What is this resource? The Bible that, for ages, has aided in our awareness of God, Jesus, and the ways of righteousness. Yes, contained in it are manifold, magnificent offerings and treasured lessons — authored by the Master of love, the SOURCE, Most High God, who lovingly gave us Jesus, the bread of life. John 6:48 – KJV I am that bread of life. Hebrews 10:7 – KJV Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

We can soar over the challenges when we remain mindful that God is able to keep us, secure us, protect us, and to sustain us through it all. The Most High cannot be conquered, intimidated, stopped or cancelled. Oh, how wondrous to know that we can truly rest in the awareness that we are not alone in whatever life delivers to our “mailboxes.” We have solid love and help that is certain! Nahum 1:7 – KJV The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

No matter what the circumstance, You are fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalms 139:14). Do not let anyone or anything deceive you in thinking you are anything less.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
I suffer from a chronic health condition that causes many physical symptoms including pain (moderate to severe), fatigue (mild to debilitating), as well as cognitive problems. Due to the progression and severity of my symptoms I left my job five months ago and have applied for Social Security Disability. Naturally they denied my original application, which is the norm for the majority of first-time applicants, and I am now working with an attorney to appeal the decision, and may have to ultimately go so far as to have my case heard by a judge. The Social Security Administration sent me to an evaluation as part of this process. The exam was administered by a lady from an outside company; most of the things she asked me to do had little or nothing to do with my condition and she asked very few questions that pertained to my condition as well. But I was expecting denial anyway because I knew the stats were not in my favor. Now I am notContinue reading »

The Bible tells us God has a calling for each and every one of us, and all are different, which makes it important to find and fulfill your calling. Don’t waste your time trying to squeeze your round peg gifting into a square-hole service opportunity. Things get out of balance; everyone and everything suffers, both ministries that are knocked off course, and people who struggle to do something they are not cut out to do. Don’t make an opportunity to serve an idol by putting all your energy exclusively in obtaining a place within a ministry, focusing solely in this direction, forsaking all other opportunities. In some cases the thing you desire and seek out is in an area where you are gifted and long to serve, but an invitation is not forthcoming. Perhaps you are a school teacher, or perchance an experienced Sunday school teacher, and yet no one requests you to fill a teaching position, even though there are opportunities, and your credential are known. I am sadContinue reading »

Once there was a woman who loved God very much and she started each day with a reading of Psalm 23. She would carefully read over the words and let them sink deep into her heart and mind. In that way, she carried the word with her throughout her day and it greatly comforted her. He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside quiet waters… But over the years her memory started to fail her and she had difficulty remembering the words of her favorite psalm. Soon she could only remember the words ‘He leads me’. Then it became, “He leads,” and finally when she was dying the only thing that was still on her lips was, ‘He’. But that was the only word she really needed. After all, He is everything. The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters He makes me lie down. He is the One who leads theContinue reading »
