His vastness cannot be measured – The glory is beyond our finite awareness Nothing is bigger than God Magnificence describes Lord Almighty as does splendor, perfection, and awesomeness Amazing is our God – Love pours forth from our Creator, wonderful, marvelous and incomparable love – Nothing is bigger or better than God.

The old year is behind us now, and we are standing on an elevated plane, and we try to peer into the new. There is a certain sense of trepidation as we look at the path before us. Where will the road lead us, and what will the future bring? Already we may spot new mountains rising on the horizon, and if we listen carefully, we may already hear the rushing waters of foaming streams that we will have to cross. Doubtless, there will be shadow-filled valleys, although, for the moment, most of the road is still obscured by the misty clouds of the unknown. But time will not stop, and we are about to begin our descent into the uncharted future. And this is where we, as children of the King have an unparalleled advantage over the unbelieving world. Once again, the Lord has blessed us with another year. Yes, more opportunities to be thankful, productive and helpful. It’s precious indeed to be gifted with more time to live for the glory of God. We have so much to be grateful for as we continue our lives. High and jubilant praises to the Lord, Most High. Some folks have relocated. Others have given birth to new lives. Yes, adorable babies have entered families. Job changes have happened for select people. Adventures of all sorts are on the horizon. Expectations are ripe. Once again we’re soon coming on December 25th, the day we celebrate the birth of Christ – yes Christmas. The Bible account of his arrival is deeply cherished by Christians. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph traveled and reached Bethlehem where the Lord was born in a manger because there was no room for them at the inn. Wise men were guided to look upon the newborn Saviour. They lovingly and generously came bearing gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Repeated readings and sermons about the birth of Christ haven’t dampened the beauty of that rich event shared so splendidly in the Bible. Some church bodies have a custom of early morning Christmas services. Attending helps parishioners to be reminded of lifestyle priorities. We have God to thank For our independence – Thank you, Lord For love, courage and hope – We’re blessed to have freedom To practice religion – Thank you for such precious and joyous liberties We’re grateful for the symbolism of the red, white and blue, including our flag with stars representing of our union We thank you, Lord for the soldiers who serve to add to the continued protection of our great nation We’re thankful for the assorted ways to enjoy our families and other loved ones because the precious gift of freedom was granted us those many years ago We appreciate the fun, food and fireworks displays that annually occur in honor of our independence Yes, dear Lord, thank you for another Fourth of July and for all of the bountiful things that you’ve lovingly and generously bestowed upon us.

We’ve learned about the assorted experiences of people who we so admire for pressing on despite uncertainties and challenges. Yes, there are many brave and determined folks who press on in the midst of varied circumstances. There are marital issues, job issues, neighborhood issues, financial issues, as well as security issues. God teaches us how to best press on — to trust the Lord — to seek the Lord for the help that we need to continue. It’s such an enormous relief to know that we aren’t alone in our trials. The love and comfort of God are gratefully welcomed. Yes, a present help in the times of our needs. Life’s occurrences cannot “swallow” us if we keep ourselves anchored, rooted and grounded in the blessed assurances provided by the Lord. Nothing is too hard for God. We can rest in that awareness, and encourage others about that truth. People providing for one another is essential. Alrighty now — we’re at another beginning. Super love extends to our Lord with gratitude galore for how far we’ve come and how we were here to welcome in the year 2016. We have much to look forward to as we approach new days, new spiritual and physical seasons, pleasantries, rewards and challenges. Indeed, jubilation is in order for the manifold wonders of God, and how we live according to pure precepts. Certainly, the joy of the Lord is our strength and assurance. Leviticus 25:12 – KJV For it is the jubilee; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field.

In the Bible, we are told to “Fear not.” Why? It’s because the Lord is at the helm. When we trust and obey righteous precepts, fear has no place. God fears nothing and no one. Be not afraid. Rest in the truths of the Lord’s amazing assurances. Deuteronomy 31:8 – KJV And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

Precious friendships are a joy to experience. Yes, loyal friends are true treasures. Relationship connections add much richness to our lives through the assorted variables. Gratitude flows for the joys of friendship engagements. No friendships, though, top the bond with our best friend, the Lord. Proverbs 18:24 – KJV A man that hath friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

The awesomeness of God cannot be measured. It’s impossible to measure our amazing Lord. Wonders abound. The love and moves of God cannot be fully comprehended. Magnificence is plentiful in the presence of God. It’s glorious in countless ways to feel, to know, and to observe the motions of the Almighty Creator of us finite beings. High and jubilant praises extend to the Most High. Psalm 150:6 – KJV Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.
