Scriptures are from the King James Bible.
Our Father has loaded us with multiple benefits from His vast treasury of provisions. He gave His beloved Son, Christ, to sacrifice for our salvation. What love indeed.
We’ve also been blessed with the gift of the Holy Ghost. Romans 5:5, “. . . the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” The Holy Ghost is power. Unquestionably, we need power to forge ahead to accomplish our tasks, from the smallest to the greatest. Yep, power charges get us through our days.
The Holy Ghost is a witness. Acts 5:32, “And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.” How many times have we received witnesses that we’re on the right track? How many times have we received witnesses that we made wise choices? How many times have we been warned by the witness of the Holy Ghost that we need to alter our positions? Oh yes, we need witnesses to inform, alert, warn and direct us.
The Holy Ghost comforts. Acts 9:31, “. . . and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, . . .” Relief springs forth as I recall the seasons when the comfort of the Holy Ghost soothed my wounded heart, calmed by frazzled nerves and provided me with renewed hope.
The Holy Ghost teaches us valuable lessons. Luke 12:12 , “For the Holy Ghost shall teach you . . .” The flow of information from the Holy Ghost has helped in countless ways. Education is ongoing and it sure can flourish when the Holy Ghost is in the mix. Mysteries unfold, doubts dissolve, and confusion disappears when the Holy Ghost reveals.
The Holy Ghost sanctifies. Romans 15:16, “. . . being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.” Sanctification is a process. Transformation is a process. Evolution is a process. Communion with the Holy Ghost is definitely to be cherished. 2 Corinthians 13:14, “. . . and the communion o the Holy Ghost, . . .”
God, the SOURCE of all creation, has lovingly and generously given us His precious Son Christ, and the Holy Ghost. Our Father has indeed supplied us with manifold provisions. Huge gratitude extends to Him for all that He is — for all that He speaks — and for all that He does. Thank You, Our Father, who is in heaven, hallowed by thy name.
