Valentine’s Day is once again upon us Flowers, candy, and stuffed animals galore – There’s no greater love, though, than what comes from God Trips are planned Dining out abounds – There’s no greater love, though, than what God gives Babysitters for the children Reservations are made – There’s no greater love than what God shares Yes, the Lord provides the best affection and way beyond – It doesn’t get better than love from the Master – Woo wee, I bask in the splendor of knowing that the love of God is forever unsurpassed I wish thrills and joy for Valentine’s Day celebrants – but most of all I wish the highest praise for God – for truly, none other gives the greatest love

Lives are formed in the darkness of wombs protected in those safe places pending their precious arrivals Darkness has its beautiful aspects – We gaze upward at the starry displays – The moon hangs surrounded by planets and the solar system delights – We marvel and enjoy the views of darkness Nocturnal animals surface to do their movements in the night hours – Noises of life are heard in the nighttime arrangements Owls hoot from their wise perches – Lions prowl in the hours absent of daylight seizing advantages from the covers of darkness Night worker folks busy themselves doing essential tasks adding to the well-being of our valuable lives Yes, we’re grateful for the benefits of darkness – It was here before the light God greatly designed the days and the nights – There’s no greater architect than our Lord Almighty who laid out the best creation plans to include the beauty of darkness and light. Thank you!

We have seasons when the noises of life aim to distract and to dislodge us from our solid rock stances in the truths of the Lord. The mental “chatter” can be unsettling if we allow it to interfere with the peace that passes all understanding. The “valves” can sure be shut off by the knowledge of, and acting upon the gospel truths. Noise isn’t the master. How do we choose to handle it? Let us count the ways — beginning with God and the words of Christ . . . Yes, it’s a certainty that we can mount up with wings . . . Psalm 93:4 – KJV The Lord on high is mightier than the noise . . . Isaiah 40:31 – KJV But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
