I confidently expect the Lord to do everything He says He will do in my life

My hope is in Him and Him alone

He has shown me time and time again

That it is He that sits upon the throne

The trials and stresses of this life will come

But I will continue to praise His name

For I know He is teaching me patience

My faith remains in the One who is always the same

Persevering through life’s challenges with Him by my side

Is how He develops my character

He’s developing me and transforming me

And I get to experience Him with joy and laughter

As He builds my character, I am filled

Filled with hope

A hope that doesn’t disappoint

A hope that is based on His Words

A hope that does not bring shame

A hope that glorifies His name

It is a confident expectation that He will do all that He says He will

It is a confident expectation that I will see what He has promised me

It is a confident expectation that my understanding may be limited,

But His love abounds

The Lord is consistent, merciful, and good

And I will worship Him as we all should
